Texas Portrait Tour March 5-8, 2007

I'm really excited about my Texas Portrait Tour. Its coming up so fast. In only two weeks I'll be visiting two Texas cities to photograph family, children and engagement sessions of clients that want really fun portraits, but can't make it to Amarillo. I'll be in the Houston / Galveston area March 5th and then in Dallas on March 6, 7, 8. I love Galveston. It is one of the number one cruise line ports. But what I love about it is the amazing historical homes. The foliage is beautiful and it reminds me of New Orleans a little bit because of the 100 year old side walks. The homes make a wonderful backdrop for photography. And I didn't even mention the beach!!

The Dallas Arboretum is a huge manicured garden that will feature 300,000 spring blooming bulbs the week that we are there for portraits. There are tons of activities for families and children alike, so after we are done with portraits, the families can take advantage of the gardens for even more fun!







We have 2 sessions left for Galveston. We have 5 sessions left for the Dallas Arboretum. I urge you to check your calendar and reserve your session today, as these sessions typically sell out in the last week. I'd love to see you there.

Sarah Davidson did an awesome job on the story. She is a super talented up and coming reporter from Chicago. The camera work was done by chief photographer Billy Loften. Billy also owns Digitex. Billy did some really cool camera work, but they don't put the videos online. Bummer.

Brian and Heather Win the Wedding Photography Giveaway 2007

Brian and Heather win the $6000 wedding giveaway! They are such a great couple. Brian wrote the story and entered the contest as a surprise to Heather. We did their engagement shoot this week and we had so much fun. It was so hard to choose, everyone had amazing stories and I wish that you all could win. Yes. We do have a winner. All of the entries were so hard to choose from. Everyone that entered is a deserving couple and I think you all have amazing stories. I'll post the winner tomorrw!

I just got a Nintendo Wii. I'm not really a big video game guy. I never really have been one. But WOW, the Wii is so much fun. Some of my buddies from college Robert and Blaine stopped by to help me try it out. It was an insane workout. My arms and back are still sore! I've heard that people have been accidentally throwing the remote through the TV. Now I can see how that could happen so easily. In the video, I get really close to the TV and I didn't even realize it until Robert suggested that I move back. I wonder if home owners insurance covers Wii damage to TVs?

And yes. That is a refridgerator and a stove in front of my couch. I'm redoing the rest of the house, so my contractor moved it into my living room. You'd think that it would be annoying and in the way, but acctually you can access your snacks much easier. I'm thinking of leaving it there....
