Arhhgg...

My HP Laserjet printer bombed out on my after lunch. I spent an hour on the phone with HP support and got cut off because of an earthquake alarm first. Apparently there was an alarm to evacuate the building. So about 10 minutes later the HP rep called me back. We got started with the support call and she had to go due to a fire alarm. So finally...I'm back to trying to repair the printer with apple care...who is on the phone now. Hopefully they can help.

Wedding Albums

Using a split approach to photography combining portraiture with photojournalism, two very different albums are created. One album is a family heirloom book filled with pages of you and your loved ones and typically includes the family, close friends and wedding party. The second album is an uninterrupted photo essay of your wedding day.

Using proprietary software designed by Davy and Josh Knapp the albums are designed page by page with care and detail in layouts using Hollywood-style "storyboarding" techniques. Albums are then placed online for a complete previsualization experience. Editing by the bride and groom is then done before the real album is produced.

Using premium glove leather covered albums and traditional bookbinding techniques album covers are billed at the rate of $395 each. Album pages are billed at $75 per page. Additional "mini" album copies of the bride and groom's album can be duplicated at a greatly reduced rate for parents.

Jacqueline

Jacqueline had a wonderful idea to do a bridal session for her 10 year anniversary. I had so much fun hanging out with Jacqueline and her family and she truly does look beautiful in her portraits!

This one is my favorite! I hope you guys have a blast in Mexico.

A Frisco Home Session

Christian is one year old and he showed me his playroom, favorite toys and his musical skills at his home session last Friday. He is such a sweet and friendly child. I have had the honor of photographing him since he was a newborn in our Baby Club. Here are some of my favorites from the session.

I Have an iPhone Now

I have been converted. I liked my blackberry, but I LOVE my iphone. It is so cool and with Apple's push technology I feel like an executive or something. It has totally connected my studio calendar, contacts and email. I called my friend Wynn Fuqua who has had an iPhone for a while and told him that I was harboring some bitterness toward him for not letting me know how amazing it was. Friends don't let friends not have iphones! (especially if you are a photographer)

A Record February and a Cold

I kind of came down with this cold that is like a sore throat / drainage thing. Not cool. My doctor gave me a shot today and he said it would probably be 24 hours until I really feel the difference.

Last week was so crazy with tons of photo shoots everyday. We also photographed several corporate events too. I really excited about this week. I'll be doing portraits at the Dallas Arboretum which is really fun. I set a pretty limited schedule, so it will be fun to shoot some and rest up. Depending on how this week goes in Dallas, I may have some big news. I don't want to spill the beans too early, but if all goes well there will be a really great announcement for my Dallas clients.

We experienced a record February this year. The studio schedule looks like it does in October, with us booking out 4 weeks in advance. I thrive on being busy. I really love the intense schedule because I know that it means that I am always getting to spend time with great people. I have the best clients. I love being a part of their lives and capturing these memories for them.

We have some really cool new portraits in the studio. Melissa just hung them on Friday. If you are in Amarillo please stop by and check them out next week. I'll be in Dallas, but everyone else will be here and we'd love to hear from you.

Ok. This rambling must stop. You really shouldn't blog while on cold medicine....I wrote that down here so I can check it out next time I'm thinking of blogging after taking Nyquil. btw....the photo is the cover of my brother Josh Knapp's new album. It will be out soon, but you can preorder it now on his website. I like to listen to it when I'm not feeling great. Its peaceful music that makes you feel great.
